    Cheryl Figlin, Pennsylvania Patent Attorney (Patent Office Registration No. 39,562), has over 15 years experience with patent prosecution, including three years as an Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Ms. Figlin knows the process of obtaining a patent from both the inside and the outside.  At the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Ms. Figlin examined patent applications in the technical areas of circuit boards, electromagnetics, and electrical insulators. She also reviewed applications for agreement with rules and codes, as well as conducted prior art searches for the U.S. Patent Office.

Following her work at the U.S. Patent Office, Ms. Figlin, joined the International intellectual Department of Henkel Corporation where she supervised and participated in filing and obtaining patent applications using both convention expiration and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).  Ms. Figlin also  reviewed and revised office policy in relation to changes in international patent law; assisting in reaching agreements with other corporations regarding the use of patented technologies; and drafted petitions to the United States Patent Office regarding Patent Cooperation Treaty matters.

Cheryl Figlin, Esq. has a strong background in physics.  While doing her undergraduate work at Rutgers University in New Jersey, Ms. Figlin was members of the Society of Physics Students, Physics Advisory Board, Douglass College Project for Women in Math and Science, and Douglass College Pre-Law Society (Charter Member).  In Law School Ms. Figlin was a Member of the International Law Society and honored to be a staff member for one of the school journals, Women’s Annotated Legal Bibliography.
